WiFi, The Silent Killer!

Hello fellow health seekers:

We now live in a wireless-saturated normality that has never existed in the history of the human race. We are experiencing 100,000,000 times more electromagnetic radiation than our grand-parents.
Yes, a hundred million!

We are bombarded by electromagnetic rays with Wi-Fi routers, cell towers, smart meters, baby monitors, antennas, cordless phones, Bluetooth earplugs, smart boards, security systems and other devices. An article published as far back as 2008 by Scientific America was entitled “Mind Control by Cell Phones”. As they saying goes, out of sight out of mind. But the truth is, WiFi is affecting everyone each day compromising your health.

Wi-Fi has been shown to contribute to insomnia, especially cell phones showing elevated levels of depression and hypertension. Once again, as with glyphosates, lack of melatonin is linked. Never hold the cell phone to your ear, put on speaker phone.

Wi-Fi is especially dangerous for the brain development of children disrupting the protein synthesis. The children’s skulls are thinner and more permeable. There have been countless stories of brain tumours the shape of your cell phone, breast cancer as a result of frequently carrying your cell phone in your blouse pocket and policemen with prostate cancer as a result of keeping the speeding gun detector at their crotch while driving.

Plant growth has been shown to be affected as demonstrated by a science experiment in Denmark showing plants not growing when exposed to Wi-Fi.

Minimize Wi-Fi exposure by turning off routers at night. Give up wireless and hardwire all your devices. Absolutely no electronics in the bedroom and turn off cell phone or airplane mode when sleeping and have cell phone as far away as possible. Use a Dirty Electricity Filter to reduce electromagnetic radiation. Use speaker phone and never place phone against your head. Using a cell phone in the car magnifies the electromagnetic intensity, it is similar to putting your head in a microwave oven.
The three caveats: sleep, Wi-Fi, and glyphosates have the same root ,lack of melatonin which causes fatigue which result in depression, anxiety and a host of other symptoms.

A Toxin that is Permeating our Health

Hello Fellow Health Seekers:

Most individuals have heard of Monsanto’s Rond-up and the legal battles going on in California trying to ban it’s use.

Many people that I have met, have never heard of glyphosates, the active ingredient in Round-up which is the deadliest permeable toxin to invade our society today followed by WiFI, though not necessarily in that order.

Glyphosate, a toxic pesticide, (patented as anti-fungal and anti-bacterial) is an active ingredient found in Monsanto’s Roundup.

It is used by farmers across North America and across the world (banned in Europe) and it has been declared a “possible carcinogen” by the World Health Organization (WHO) in January 2016.

Glyphosates supresses the immune system, impairs digestion, compromises digestion, a major cause of fatigue, impairs the absorption of vitamins and minerals and is responsible for many unexplained disorders.
80-90% of your serotonin is produced in your gut lining and low levels are responsible for low energy, depression and anxiety.
Because of decreased mineral absorption, serotonin is not able to produce melatonin.
Lack of melatonin results in lack of sleep, brain-fog and FATIGUE!

Eat organic, especially the foods that are heavily sprayed with glyphosates which include: wheat, barley, rye, oats, grains, alfalfa, beans, legumes, lentils, canola, cotton, flax, sunflower seeds, sugar beets, tomatoes, yams, papaya, potatoes, yellow squash, zucchini
Follow the guidelines as outlined on www.ewg.org site for Healthy Fifteen and the Dirty Dozen.
Processed foods that contain glyphosates include: Cheerios, Cornflakes, Wheaties, Raisin Bran, Special K, Triscuits, Oreos, Doritos, Frito’s and Lay’s brands to name a few.

How to Bookend Your Day?

Hello fellow health seekers!

Do you bookend your day?

Just as there is the best procedure for optimizing the life of your car by how you start the heat in your car on a cold day, the steps in changing the oil or running your dishwasher, there are recommended steps in optimizing your day for optimum productivity and a sense of satisfaction and fulfilment. How?

You bookend it!

Start a daily routine.

Upon rising:
• Drink a glass of water
• Do your exercises
• Do your meditation
• What is your goal for today?
• What act of kindness do you want to give to one person?
• What skill or strength do you want to develop?

Depending on whether you work from home or away will determine your next steps.
Don’t view your emails or social media until at least noon. They are time wasters!

In the morning:
• Make a list of 3 priorities
• Make a list of 3 people you need to call
• Make a list of 3 emails you need to respond to or more
• Take a break from the computer every 60 minutes by setting a timer on your cell phone. (keep your cell phone at least 10 steps away, so you have to get up to answer it and to minimize some of the EMF’s) Get up and stretch, do arm exercise, take 5 deep breathes.

Throughout the day:
• Practise Heart Math or mindfulness breathing to minimize stress.

At the end of the day before you walk in the front door at home:
• Imagine a tree just within reach
• Hang your troubles, stresses from the day on the tree and forget them.

Prior to Sleep:
• Review your day’s activities
• Write down 3 things you are grateful for and why
• Do a mindfulness or gratitude meditation
• Turn out the lights (preferably by 10 PM)
Make sure you do not have any electronics in the room, including cell phone and that your bedroom is completely dark

Make a schedule that fits your lifestyle and challenge yourself to keep it for at least 30 days until it becomes second nature. Your day will be more productive, you will feel less stressed and more fulfilled!

It’s Not a Disease, it’s a Symptom!

Hello fellow Health Seekers!

If you have been diagnosed with a so-called “disease” as diabetes, cancer, arthritis, heart issues, fibromyalgia, obesity or an auto-immune condition etc.… it is NOT a disease, but a symptom of an underlying cause. The most common way allopathic doctors treat any such “dis-order” is with pharmaceuticals, surgery, chemo, radiation or exploratory procedures. I am not negating that medicine and surgery has its place, but more often than not, doctors blindly prescribe meds without getting to the root cause of your symptom as they are not trained to do such (unless a Functional Medicine practitioner/physician)

Underlying causes may be any number of issues from:
• Inflammatory imbalances: diet, lack of exercise, mold,
• Structural imbalances: congenital, a result of an accident, lack of exercises
• Immune imbalances: diet, antibiotics, vaccines
• Digestive imbalances: diet, antibiotics, vaccines
• Hormonal imbalances: plastics, Wi-Fi, city water
• Detoxification Imbalances: overtaxed liver, dirty colon, poor hydration
• Mitochondrial dysfunction: diet, antibiotics, vaccines
• Toxic Chemical exposure: diet, plastics, silver amalgams, city water
• Toxic Emotions: anger, bitterness, fear, resentment, unforgiveness

Though well-intentioned holistic health care providers provide non-invasive remedies that show positive results, (I am not negating the use of essential oils, acupressure, biofeedback procedures or homeopathic remedies. They all have many positive benefits, but the root cause still needs to be addressed and not a temporary fix).

Where does one start?

Too Many Trends For 2018

Hello fellow Health Seekers:

Since 2018 is no longer the age in information but the age of Knowledge, it seems that every new year we are overrun with much misleading information of the latest Food Trends, they may be trends, but not always healthy or healing ones, and I would like to address some of these “trends.” From the health gurus online to food magazines…please beware! Just to share some I have recently read:
1. Prebiotics are big! Kumbucha, Kimchi, Kefir, Kraut, Kvass! I totally agree we need prebiotics to lay the groundwork for probiotics to thrive in our gut. But, commercially prepared Kombucha is generally high in sugar content, please read label ingredients and quantities. FYI, most probiotics are DOA (dead on arrival) due to poor shipping and storage at health food stores. Please buy either a probiotic that does not need refrigeration or a fermented one (Vitabiosa) you can purchase on my web site.
2. Canned fish is hot! UGH!Fish is the most toxic flesh protein on the planet, not only heavy metals content but the latest research shows high levels of plastics. Stay away from anything canned in metal, more heavy metal toxicity. Research shows that canned sardines are okay, I have my doubts!
3. Mushrooms!!! NO! Unless they are medicinal as Chaga, Reishi, Shiitake or Lions Mane. All other mushrooms are a non-nutritional fungus.
4. Intermittent fasting. A BIG YES! It gives your body a break, many benefits I will address in a further article. You can fast one day a week, 3 days or longer! From 6 PM tonight until 6 PM tomorrow night would be a great idea!
5: Root to plant cooking! Using the leaves, the stalk, the peelings, nothing is wasted. Leaves in your smoothie, the stalk for a stir-fry, the peelings in your vegetable stock.
6. Weekly vegetarian/vegan meals. A great idea, not just for your health, but for the environment.

Benefits of Functional Medicine

Allopathic medicine does have its benefits in cases of emergencies: resetting a bone fracture, treating trauma after an accident or severe burn, complications in childbirth and other circumstances.
But, most times it falls short in safe and effective treatment (Hippocrates oath says:”Do no harm”.)
In 1917, The Fetzer Report was passed and funded by the Rothschild’s stated that all Medical School curriculum was to be heavily Pharmaceutically based, with very little training in nutrition. Hence, the stronghold of Big Pharma in our everyday treatment of dis-ease, otherwise known as a bandaid.
Where Functional Medicine differs, is in its treatment, by getting to the root cause with non mainstream, non invasive and safe testing with blood, saliva, or urine, chiropractic adjustments and many other modalities.

I urge you to consider a Functional Medicine Practioner if you have symptoms, discomfort or have been recently diagnosed with a dis-ease (cancer, heart disease, arthritis, high blood pressure, asthma on and on) to get to the root cause, so you may reverse, prevent or at the very least minimize your malady.

I recently had a bone density scan and my results showed a low bone density score. My new allopathic doctor whom I had gone to see for baseline blood work only of course wanted to prescribe meds which was a “NO” no brainer for me. Had she read scientific medical journals, she would have been versed that osteo meds do not prevent or minimize osteoporosis. More than 10 studies have been done world wide over the last 8 years proving that meds do not help/minimize, prevent osteoporosis and the side effects are horrific. Your health is your responsibility!Don’t pass the buck to your MD.

Most Probiotics Are DOA!

Individuals who shop at Health Food Stores spend a lot of money on supplements, many of which are worthless because of their synthetic ingredients, decreased efficacy because of shipping or other factors.
For example, supplements that require refrigeration are not always shipped in refrigerated trucks…please view this short 2 minute video for the rest of the story…

There are many cleanse and detox programs on the market today and online programs, please view this very informative video (90 minutes) to see how you may change many health challenges thru a juice program. If you do not have a juicer, no worries. A simple Alkalizing Detox Drink to start your day :
Green Lemonade
3-4 stalks celery, cut into chunks
1-2 lemons with outer peel cut off
2 Granny Smith Apples
2-3 stalks kale with centre stalks removed
Add 1/2 cup water to blender, then, add all the ingredients except the kale and blend 10-15 seconds, now add the kale and continue until blended. Put thru nut mylk bag and enjoy!

Over the years when working with clients and helping improve their diet, I realized that health is a three legged stool, most people address diet when diagnosed with a dis-ease, but ignore the home toxins that could very well have contributed to their dis-ease (cancer, heart disease, arthritis etc). Our society focuses either on the past or on the future. Mindfulness teaches you to be present now. (It has been shown to change the structure of the brain). The practice teaches you to incorporate mindfulness into the everyday things you do daily from driving to making meals to shopping.
