First, Do “No” Harm

Hello fellow Health Seekers:

One of the oldest binding documents in history, the Hippocrates Oath written by Hippocrates is still held sacred by physicians (or is it?): to treat the ill to the best of one’s ability, to preserve a patient’s privacy, to teach the secrets of medicine to the next generation…in essence…DO NO HARM!

When you break a bone, have a gall bladder attack or pneumonia, your allopathic doctor  is needed to reset the broken bone, treat the gall bladder attack  and alleviate pain and prescribe the necessary meds to fight the pneumonia.

Many doctors are prescribing meds like candy, performing senseless c-sections, pushing chemo and radiation when safer alternatives are available. We have given our power to individuals we have come to deem as “god”

Are they really  first, doing “NO HARM?”

….Should be Non-Negotiable especially if you are sick.

Objective Vs Perfect

Is living perfect necessary? No.

Does anyone live perfectly? No.

Do I live perfectly? No.

Is being objective necessary for sound decision making? YES!

– Do ALL pharmaceuticals cause harm? Yes, no exceptions.

– Is Radiation, Chemo, Surgery harmful? Yes, without exceptions.It is what  will kill you, not the cancer.

– Are tests that are “bad for pregnant women” also bad for everyone else? Undeniably. Check out the harmful effects of Ultrasounds and MRI’s

– Anti-Biotics = Anti-Life pills  yes  they are also harmful and must be avoided. They rob the body of the immune fighting friendly bacteria found in your gut

– Is there such thing as a “Special Drug” recommended by a “Special Dr. in Special Coat with a Special Title” that is harmful to healthy people but magically good for sick people in ANY circumstance? NO! Big Pharma is Big Business

– Are certain foods no matter how “common or normal” still causing harm? Objectively yes. We are not one size fits all, one diet may work for you, but not for me. Pay attention to your body, it will tell you.

In 1971 , the Fetzer”Report came to rule Medical School  protocol as outlined by the Rothchilds, the emphasis   was and still is on pharmaceuticals first and foremost. Todays MD’s have little to no nutritional training, know nothing about alternative or integrative modalities let alone getting to the root cause because bandaids fits all.

Do not be coerced into making decision about your health before doing your own research as to the contra effects of the procedure or meds. Take responsibility for your health. It’s the only one you have.

How To Calculate Your Protein Needs (courtesy Tracy Russell)

Before you figure out where you are going to get your protein from, it is a good idea to know how much protein you really need. A quick and easy way to calculate your protein needs is to do some simple math.


Step 1: Calculate Your Ideal Body Weight


This is known as the HAMWI formula.  For men, use this calculation:

106 pounds for 60 inches of height (5 feet) and add 6 pounds for every inch over 60.

For women, use this one: 100 pounds for 60 inches of height and add 5 pounds for every inch over 60.

This calculation gives you a basic idea of what your ideal weight should be if you have a medium frame.  Your ideal weight is actually a weight range and may vary from + or – 10% depending on your frame size.

Using the calculation above, I am 5’3” or 63 inches tall, so my ideal body weight is 115 pounds (52 kilograms) if I had a medium frame. 

My ideal weight range is between 103.5 – 126.5.  I typically hover in the 107-109 range because I have a smaller than medium build.


 Step 2: Calculate Your Protein Requirements By Using Your Ideal Body Weight

Using the recommended daily allowance (RDA) of .8 grams of protein per kilogram of body weight, my daily protein goal should be about 42 grams.

If you are very active or athletic, your protein needs may be higher.

Now that you know how much protein you really need, lets look atwhat plant sources are highest in protein. I’m not going to go over all the fruits and vegetables that are high in protein, I want to focus on the ones that I add to my green smoothies.



At the very bottom, I’ll give you a couple of my favorite protein-rich green smoothie recipes that do not contain (or need) any protein powders.


Protein Rich Greens:


1 small head of purple cabbage = 8.1 grams


1 head Romaine lettuce = 7.7 grams


3 cups kale = 6.6 grams


3 cups dandelion greens = 4.5 grams


 Protein Fruits:


1 mamey = 4.8 grams


2 tablespoons goji berries = 4 grams


3 cups blueberries = 3.3 grams


3 cups grapes = 3.3 grams


3 cups pineapple = 2.7 grams


3 cups papaya = 2.6 grams


1 medium banana = 1.5 gram


1 mango = 1.1 gram


1 large apple = 1 gram


 Other Foods I Put In Smoothies:


 ¼ cups raw oats = 6.6 grams


2 teaspoons of chia seeds = 1.5 grams



As you can see, greens are going to have more protein than fruit. It is really important to make a green smoothie rather then just a fruit smoothie if you are looking for something to boost your protein.


 Also, most people do not know that all fruits and vegetables

(including leafy greens), contain complete proteins – they have all essential amino acids!


 My Favorite Protein-Rich Green Smoothie Recipes


 These green smoothies are great to drink before or after workouts, but you can also make them for breakfast or lunch to help you get through the day.

Blueberry-Banana Smoothie


 2 bananas, peeled


1 cup blueberries


1 head romaine lettuce, chopped


4 to 6 ounces of filtered water


 Calories: 432 | Protein: 11.8g | Carbs: 104g | Fat: 3g | Fiber: 23.8g


 Mango Smoothies


 ½ head of romaine lettuce, chopped


2 mangoes, peeled and pitted


¼ cups raw oats


1 to 2 teaspoons cinnamon


4 to 6 ounces of filtered water


 Calories: 474 | Protein: 12.2g | Carbs: 106g | Fat: 4g | Fiber: 18.2g

It seems that  our society is becoming less and less healthy, heavier and heavier and popping more or more pills. Good health is a choice as is a career or a relationship. 1) The #1 Worst Food That Accelerates Aging

Due to biochemical reactions in your body that occur with every type of food you eat on a daily basis, some foods age you FASTER than your real age, while other foods help to FIGHT aging.
Eat the wrong foods regularly, and you can look and feel 10 or more years OLDER than your real age (not fun!) … but eat the right foods, and over time, you can start to look 5-10 years YOUNGER than your real age.
Three of the processes that go on inside your body that have a MAJOR impact on your rate of aging are called “glycation”, “inflammation”, and “oxidation”. When we talk about aging, we’re not just talking about wrinkles on your skin or how thick your hair is… we’re also talking about factors that you can’t see, such as how well your organs function, and whether your joints are degrading.
Yes, I’m sure you’ll agree this is much more important than just how you look superficially (although we’ll show you how to improve BOTH!)
With the title of this article, you might have guessed that obvious answers like sugar or trans fat would be what we talk about in this article. Yes, those are bad, but I want to discuss another food that ages your body faster than normal… and it’s one that you might not expect!
So let’s dig right in and I’ll show you how your rate of aging can be directly related to the foods you might eat every day, and how to protect yourself…
The #1 WORST food that ages you faster:

Wheat based foods (yes, even “whole wheat”)
Before I tell you why wheat can actually speed up the aging process in your body, let’s clarify some simple biochemistry in your body…

This deals with “glycation” in your body, and substances called Advanced Glycation End Products (AGEs). These nasty little compounds called AGEs speed up the aging process in your body including damage over time to your organs, your joints, and of course, wrinkled skin.
So with that said, what is one of the biggest factors that increase production of AGEs inside your body? This may surprise you, but high blood sugar levels over time dramatically increase age-accelerating AGEs in your body. This is why type 2 diabetics many times appear that they have not aged well and look older than their real age. But this age-increasing effect is not just limited to diabetics.
So, let’s get back to how “whole wheat” relates to this…

Here is a little-known fact that’s often covered up by the massive marketing campaigns by giant food companies that want you to believe that “whole wheat” is healthy for you… but the fact is that wheat contains a very unusual type of carbohydrate (not found in other foods) called Amylopectin-A, which has been found in some tests to spike your blood sugar higher than even pure table sugar.
In fact, amylopectin-A (from wheat) raises your blood sugar more than almost any other carbohydrate source on earth based on blood sugar response testing.
This means that wheat-based foods such as breads, bagels, cereals, muffins, and other baked goods often cause much higher blood sugar levels than most other carbohydrate sources. As you know now, the higher your average blood sugar levels are over time, the more AGEs are formed inside your body, which makes you age FASTER.
You’ve probably heard about the potential health-damaging effects of gluten (also found in wheat) in the news recently, but this blood sugar aspect we just covered is not talked about that often, and is yet another reason to reduce or eliminate wheat-based foods in your diet. Your body will thank you by aging slower and looking YOUNGER! And losing bodyfat is typically a fun side effect of eliminating or reducing wheat in your diet!
Another problem with wheat-based foods and aging…
As it turns out, baked wheat products contain carcinogenic chemicals called acrylamides that form in the browned portion of breads, cereals, muffins, etc. These carcinogenic acrylamides have been linked in studies to possible increased risk of cancer and accelerated aging. Note that acrylamides are also found in high levels in other browned carbohydrate sources such as french fries or any other browned starchy foods.

Every parent should want their child/children to read this letter, and this letter should be read by students everywhere – in primary, secondary and post secondary academic institutions, as their very future is at stake, as is that of their offspring and subsequent generations. Consider the following – every statement of which is supported by independent science-based studies from non-industry scientists around the world:
• iPhones should never be held against the head! Owner’s manuals stipulate keeping phone 5/8″ from the head … or any part of the body!
• Blackberrys should never be held against the head! Owner’s manuals stipulate keeping phone 15/16″ from the head … or any part of the body!
• Smart Phones should never be held against the head! Owner’s manuals stipulate keeping phone 5/8″ from the head … or other parts of the body!
• Marconi says not to point its cell phones at any part of the body (as above)!
• Cell phones should never be carried on the body, ie., in a shirt, pants or jacket pocket (unless the power is switched OFF)!
• Laptops should never be operated on the lap – radiation can cause infertility!
• Cancers of the head, from extensive cell phone use (30 minutes a day for 10-years of more), have increased 50% in the ten-year period 1999-2009!
• Cordless phones are never OFF, even when the phone is placed back in the cradle! They emit pulsed millisecond-long bursts of toxic non-thermal microwave radiation 24/7/365! (Non thermal means the radiation does not heat the body.)
• Your chance of getting cancer of the head from using a cordless phone for just 30 minutes a day for 10 years increases by up to 470%!
• Radiation damage to the brain from cell/cordless phones is cumulative, ie., each usage adds to whatever damage had previously been done to your cells, DNA and/or blood-brain barrier;
• All of these wireless devices emit sharp millisecond-long bursts of pulsed non-thermal microwave radiation that non-industry scientists now know are harmful to humans – and to all other life forms;
• Independent scientists say you should not live within 400-500 meters from a cell phone tower!
• UBC-O has a cell phone tower right smack in the middle of its campus – meaning that every student, every member of faculty and every member of the administration is being irradiated with pulsed, millisecond bursts of toxic microwave radiation 24/7/365 (and cell towers radiate for distances up to 23 miles)!
• Okanagan College, K.L.O. campus has two cell phone towers onsite with a total of three transmitter, receiver and antenna circuits which are radiating not only students, faculty and staff, but also all of the unsuspecting public living within roughly 23 miles of those towers! Everyone within that radius is being radiated 24/7/365 without their knowledge!
• The frequencies with which you are being radiated are in the same general frequency band as your microwave oven – only these emissions are far more dangerous, because they are sharp bursts of millisecond-long pulses of toxic, non-thermal microwave radiation!
• In May of 2011, the World Health Organization classified electromagnetic radiation (EMR) a 2B (“Possible”) carcinogen!
• Previously, in 2002, the same WHO classified ELF (extremely low frequency) radiation from house wiring, electrical appliances etc. a Class 2B (“Possible”) carcinogen.
• The latency period for cancers resulting from these pulsed non-thermal microwave radiations is in excess of 10 years!
• Health Canada establishes the “Exposure Limit” (signal strength) that wireless communications devices, such as Wi-Fi routers, cell phones, cell phone towers, cordless phones, Smart phones, laptops, tablets, iPhones, baby monitors, GPS satellites, Bluetooth, home security systems, etc. are permitted to radiate.
• Health Canada boasts (see their website) that Canada has “one of the safest guidelines in the world!
• In reality, Canada’s “Guidelines” are one of the poorest/most dangerous in the world, as they protect only against thermal effects of microwave radiation, while ignoring the long-term, low-level non-thermal, biological effects of EMR.
• Austria has the safest guidelines in the world – which are an astonishing 10,000 times lower/safer than Canada’s!
• The BioInitiave Report 2007, which increasingly is being recognized as the most authoritative, independent assessment of the dangers of electromagnetic radiation, urges all countries of the world to immediately adopt guidelines which are 10,000 times lower/safer than Canada’s present 1000 uW/cm2!
• In June 2011, a Committee of The Council of Europe, representing 47 countries and over 800-million people, called for a ban on Wi-Fi routers and cell phones in all schools!
